The Geotagging was cool. I didnt know you were able to do that. I was not able to figure out how to get mine to tag though???
You could use this tool to show different venues of a business if there are seperate branches around the world or even use to show like a family tree. there are several different things you could cover with this tool.

I used podcast.com I found it somewhat difficult to use I thought the Yahoo one was alot better to use.
I think podcasting is great for networking and getting yourself out there as far as a business would go.

Thing 14

I would have to say the Assignment Calculator would be most useful for me. It was easy to navigate and I was able to understand the concept of it. Seems like it is a good way to manage time and be organized. Also recommendations are always a plus as far as the teacher guide goes.

I chose the google start page. Call me old fashioned but I just like the accessability of it all right when i get online. I am usually needing to do research or find information on stuff around the area. This is my main source of that.
The calendar and sticky notes would be useful for me and probably other students. I am very forgetful and always need to have my days, weeks and even months planned out. This was a good way to keep me updated.

In all honesty this thing somewhat confused me. I joined on the Del.iciou.us site and browsed it for a while. I looked at the different things that people bookmarked. I think this tool could be useful in researching for a project or a paper. It could help you remember a good source or be able to back track what you have found.

Thing 11

These different sites can influence our professional image by making you more technology savvy. You are able to present information about yourself or possibly a presentation for your business by using these sites. This will make you look organized and professional. It could also help you with a school project as well.
After looking into the different sites and options also studying how to go about creating I found it easy to catch on to the concepts.
Yes I would recommend it. Or even just to get experienced in it for a hobby.

I worked with the Colr Pickr and also the Big Huge Labs.. I was unable to get it to upload for some reason but the two websites were very cool. I did not know that they were out there. You could use there for different design projects as well as paintings to experiment with colors and what not. I love photography and sharing photos so this was okay by me!

Thing Huet

Wiki has a wide array of different topics that can be helpful. The credibility isnt always valid though. It could work well for an assignment where you have to practice your writing and descriptive skills. They could use it as somewhat of a lab project and research. I think that it is wise that wiki is banned from acedemic assignments.

Thing Sept

I thought the google doc was easier and more to the point. The features were fairly similar to me. Had the same concepts.

Thing Six

1. Digg could be used for a report or design project by the extensive views shown on this site. There are several different topics and concepts.
2. by doing research and confirming facts in posts and articles.
3. By submitting and publishing interesting and informative articles. People will be able to see your interests and what is important and will be able to connect on a better level with you.
4. The sites can be linked and you and post your opinion.
5. You are able to view the main source of the article.... author, editor, magazine, newspaper etc.
6. This question doesnt really appeal to me. I dont follow that drama.
7. Again doesnt appeal to me.

Thing Cinq

1. I made a profile for both Twitter and Plurk.
2. I guess it is interesting if you want to know what everyone is doing at all times. It somewhat seemed pointless to me.
3. All networking is good but the profile set ups were not catered for a professional level. It is more so media and gossip.
4. Could cause negative perception of other people and also distractions from more important events.

Thing Quatre

Since I already have a Facebook and Myspace page I decided to set up a profile on Linkedin. I thought this would help me network with other professionals that will better my future in the career path I have chosen. My weblink is http://www.linkedin.com/pub/jennifer-berge/17/7a0/676
I was able to upload my resume and create a profile that describes the type of work I am in.
I will use this to be able to connect with other individuals in that same line of work and be able to come up with new ideas to supporting my future.

Thing Trois

1. Ai Student portal has alot of different sources available to students. It is a good place to get information, network and communicate w/ other students and staff.
2. Its a good resource because it helps you stay connected and also gives you access to your academic progress.
3. I find the email very useful and also the student events.
4. The problem I had was my login information and password. It took me a while to get that figured out. I also had to learn where everything was on the site.

Thing Deux

Bloglines was very interesting. I did not know that you were able to access so much with one site. I picked my interests and was able to pull up news feeds from ESPN and other main sites.

This is my official start to the '16 Things' Adventure. I am not very technology savvy so lets hope I can get through this with flying colors. :)
I have a feeling I will learn a lot from this experience. I have already started to learn a few new things. Such as that this Blog site exists and how to export an image.
